55 Gallon Open Head Plastic Drum With Fittings in the Cover

Our 55 gallon open head plastic drum has a cover that can be removed.  The cover has two fittings – one 2″ and one 3/4″ NPS plug.  The cover is held to the drum body with a side lever locking band.  This drum is blue with a natural colored lid.  It is made from high molecular weight high density polyethylene (HMWHDPE).  The drum has a UN rating of UN1H2/Y250/S for hazardous solids, however it is FDA compliant and suitable for non-hazardous product also.  The nominal overall height of the drum is 35.2 inches.  The nominal outside diameter is 23.3 inches.  The minimum wall thickness is 0.140 inches.  Common uses for the drum are:

• water storage
• food storage
• ice melt, sand
• hazardous solids in the Packing Group II or III categories.
