Why would you choose amber glass over clear (flint) glass? Well it would depend upon your product. Typically, you see beer in amber glass bottles. Amber glass absorbs the most ultraviolet radiation compared to green, blue or clear glass. That is important because UV rays can alter the properties of some products such as beer contributing to spoilage. By protecting your products from harmful UV rays you are extending their shelf life.
