Fiber Drum with Steel Lid and Lever Locking Steel Band

Our 21.5 gallon fiber drum has a steel cover and a lever locking band that holds the cover secured to the drum body. Steel chimes reinforce the top and bottom of the drum.  Fiber drums have a low tare weight which makes them economical to ship.  They have great strength against impact and the lock rim allows easy opening and closing.  This style of drum has the benefit of quick filling and dispensing.

This drum has a UN rating of UN1G/Y60/S.  It has a 300 lb. net weight limit if your product is not hazardous.  If your product is hazardous, you are restricted to the UN marking on the drum.

Closing instructions are provided on the paperwork with your shipment.  They read as follows:

49CFR178.2 (C) NOTIFICATION

1)  SNAP CLOSING RING OVER THE COVER AND TOP LIP OF THE DRUM.
WRITING ON CLOSING LEVER MUST BE RIGHT SIDE UP.
2)  PULL LOCKING LEVER CLOSED.  IF NEEDED, TAP ALONG OUTSIDE EDGE OF
RING UNTIL LEVER IS FULLY CLOSED AGAINST RING.
3)  SNAP THE LATCH INTO THE LEVER UNTIL IT LOCKS.  SECURE WITH A
SEALING WIRE OR OTHER SEALING DEVICE.
