Slipcover Tins
We stock slipcover tins (Ink Cans) in sizes from 4 oz to 10 lbs. We also stock a large can which is 7 8/16″ x 11″. These cans come with a top that is slightly larger than the can and it slips down onto the can, similar to a canister. We stock the cans in plain metal, however, we can send samples if you wish to measure any of the cans to have custom labels made. These canister type tins can be used for a wide variety of products. They are used in the printing industry to hold inks. They are suitable to be used with dry food products, as long as the product would not react with the tinplate. For instance, unsalted nuts would be fine, however, with salted nuts you may want to use a plastic bag. We have been told by our customers that these cans can be used for popcorn, loose tea, cookies, herbs, spices and cakes. Of course, we have our candle makers who use them for their scented candles. Another, not so common use is for pet cremains. The large canister is good for pet food. Again, we suggest getting a sample to be sure your product will not react with the tinplate.
